So today we spent our time wrapping a few loose story threads, finishing our leveling up, and a little friendly in character and out of character banter. And while we did do some traveling about it was all "down time" and uneventful so there was much planning for the future. This crew consists of the following:

Tsedek, our charming Tiefling Rogue

Itanis, a devious High Elf Wizard, fond of controlling any situation we may find ourselves in

Leoven, our quiet but effective Wood Elf Ranger

Magnus, the Human Paladin of Heironious, he has followed a vengeance path

Elle, the small but sparky High Elf Wizard, fond of blowing things up with lots of fire

And we have an NPC: Gearbox, a Monodrone, who is Elle's follower. He looks like a round ball on legs but think more along the lines of R2D2 in skills and abilities.

After about 10 days at Dragon's Bane Keep sorting our personal issues out, resting up, meeting the new Tabaxi, catching up with Melchizador. You know, as one does after months of traveling. Then we had a board meeting to figure out what we're doing next. Our original plan was to steal the suit of armor then go to the King of the Wood Elves to "acquire" his apology to the metallic Dragons, then return to the council of metallic Dragons with the apology and keep the armor.

However, after Magnus' experience with the armor, we decided to forego the loop with the King of the Wood Elves and bring the power armor to the council of metallic Dragons. None of us feel we should try to keep and/or sell it.

We also decided we needed to return to that floating city under the mountain. It's actually a ship. And, due to the tarot reading that we did way back in the ooze town, Magnus is now the official owner of it. The brains that control it recognize him as such. And there's currently humans on the ship operating it. We want to get it out from under that mountain and accessible so we can start letting people on/off the ship.

It is, however, under a mountain. And while along the scale of a small village, it's still far too big to just fly out the pedestrian tunnel. So Itanis devised another one of his crafty solutions and off we went to the mountain. We asked Elle's friend Gearbox to come with us to help with the mechanical aspects, and he agreed. Itanis used his terrain modification skill to make a wide enough hole in the side of the mountain and we just flew it on out. And flew it straight towards the council of metallic Dragons.

When we got to the council, we decided to let our new Minister of Finance - that would be Tsedek, the silver tounged one - do the talking. And talking he did. He put together a great speech for the dragons and Itanis reveals the power armor with a great flourish. The dragons are pleased at this and are willing to help us with this fight against the Dragon Cult.

We also took the time to tell the story of Tsedek's scry gone awry and how we interacted with the minions of Tiamat. The council of metallic Dragons are a bit concerned about this turn of events. They were going to do some research and thinking and send word to Dragon's Bane Keep (which they are not offended by the name as they know we're only killing evil dragons). So we fly our ship back to the Keep and hang out there for awhile.

After a few days home again and doing some repairs to the ship, and a couple more board meetings as we start putting together our plans for post adventuring life, we are hand delivered a note.

"You don’t know me, but we can help each other immeasurably. My name is Iskander, and I made a terrible mistake in joining the Cult of the Dragon. The cult’s horrifying plans are sure to bring doom to all, but I can stop those plans with your help. Rescue me from the cult’s clutches, and I will deliver to you the prize of prizes: the Blue Dragon Mask. Without it, Severin faces an insurmountable setback in his effort to call Tiamat back to our world. The mask is here in Xonthal’s Tower, being studied and guarded by only a handful of wizards, including myself. The danger of my treason becoming known grows with every passing day, and if I’m discovered, I’ll surely be killed. Please hurry, for the sake of everyone and everything you value."

Itanis and Elle are aware of Xonthal and his tower and are eager to see it (I mean, what wizard wouldn't want to go visit another wizard's tower). And, the Blue Dragon Mask would definitely help with this mess. So we've decided that's what we're going to do next.

And that's where we'll pick up in 2 weeks!
